PRODUCT ONBOARDING SAMPLES
Student Fulfillment Component
Providing university-enrolled students easy access and procurement of new digital content required for their higher education courses.
PROBLEM
Students needed to access content in various ways.
In order to provide student access to required courseware, students had 4 onboarding options based on the business models. Each service was owned by an individual product team that developed the end-to-end flows. Components were designed for dynamic page displays.
Services
Using a pre-paid access card purchased from their school bookstore.
Purchasing online using a credit card.
Temporary Access for students on financial aid.
Inclusive Access as part of their tuition.
Student Interviews and polls surfaced an overwhelming need to onboard their content from within the Learning Management Systems used for their school website. Participants voiced frustration with the many tabs and windows needed to complete their tasks.
GETTING EVERYONE ON BOARD
Component Schematic Diagram
Components were unfamiliar territory to most of the individual Product teams. I created and presented a series of schematic diagrams to educate cross-functional teams. This helped to solution the information architecture and surface any dependencies, guaranteeing a successful release.
